Terracotta Army

Once upon a time a young chinese prince dreamed, like every little boy, of owning more and bigger toys than anyone else. Short after his coronation, when hi was still aged 13, he ordered a mausoleum filled with everything he thought you might need after your death.

700’000 men were sent there from all over his empire, more than double as many as men building the great wall of china.

Until the prince’s death they build an army of 8000 teracotta soldiers, chairots and horses. This army was found 2184 years later in March 1974 by farmers.

Today you can visit it nearby Xi’an, but avoid it during the summer break and national holidays, it’s gonna be more crowded than the chinese subway.
